Non Narrated Best-of Echoes 2021 - So Far...
At the mid-point of the year, we look back at some of the best music from the Echoes soundscape, spanning electronic, ambient, dreampop, ambient classical, world fusion and more.
The on-air format for Echoes is a little restrictive at times: everything needs to fit into regular time slots, and the whole program can’t be more the two hours. As a result, we were not able to squeeze all 30 tracks that we’d put into our Best-of 2021: So Far… list into the radio program, and had to trim a couple of tracks that were too long for their assigned segments. But here on-line, we have a lot more flexibility, so here’s all 30 tracks, in their entirety (mostly: the album-length Steve Roach track is still an excerpt, but a longer one than made it to the radio show.) And on top of that, this stream is uninterrupted by any narration. So check the playlist below to verify what you’re hearing, and enjoy what we thought were the best albums of the first half of 2021.
