Remembering pianist Philip Aaberg
We remember pianist Philip Aaberg, who passed-away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 77. Phil’s music was played frequently on Echoes over the years, and he even performed live for the show, twice. We’ll hear a few of his tracks, and some stories about him, on this program. You can read John Diliberto’s memories of Philip Aaberg here>>
We’ll also hear a pair of electronic artists whose branches have grown in different directions from their German space music roots. We’ll hear Steve Roach from his live album, La Rosa, and Hollan Holmes from the Sanctity of Rust. John Diliberto says there is nothing rusty about the next Echoes from PRX.
