Remember Tangerine Dream’s “Love on a Real Train” from Risky Business? Well I’ve got Imaginary Trains by Michael Whalen and there is more than a locomotive connection between these two. Whalen’s new album was inspired by golden age electronic musicians of the 70s and 80s like Tangerine Dream, Klaus Schulze and Vangelis. Whalen got his entire synthesizer arsenal together to create Imaginary Trains, our May CD of the Month.
