Trentmøller's Memoria: Echoes' March CD of the Month
Trentemøller is a Danish electronic musician who started out on the dance floor. But now he’s creating a more introspective music drawing upon his memories as well as his recent status as a father. He mixes downtempo grooves, New Wave moods and Dreampop vocals on this wistful album with a beat. From his home in Copenhagen, he and his partner, singer/guitarist Lisbet Fritze talk about Memoria with Trentemoller in the Echoes Podcast from PRX.

Singer-songwriter Tori Amos talks about her pandemic-brewed album, Ocean to Ocean. Isolated in Cornwall, England where she’s been living, she struggled with grief and the turmoil of the world. She applied that emotion through songs of driving intensity like the playful “Spies,” a lullaby for her daughter, and “Speaking with Trees,” a metaphor for the death of her mother.
