She was a back-up singer for Madonna for about a decade, but now Donna De Lory creates a more spiritual and serene kind of music. She has an album out with guitarist James Harrah called Sing to the Light. John Diliberto lights it up on Echoes from PRX.

Monday, Mar 30, 2026 – Echoes Program 2613A

It’s a progressive rock, space music trip with Craig Padilla & Marvin Allen’s Unfolding Skies, Echoes April CD of the Month. We’ve been following Craig Padilla since the turn of the millennium. He’s put out more than 60 albums, spanning sequencer space music, drone zone and more impressionistic electronic painting, especially through collaborations with the late flute player, Zero Ohms, Richard Roberts. Marvin Allen is less known and not prolific at all. His four recordings to date are all his collaborations with Craig Padilla: Toward the Horizon in 2019, Strange Gravity in 2021 Weathering the Storm in 2023 and now, Unfolding Skies. They’ve gotten together on a sound that is part ambient, part sequencer space music, part Pink Floyd, and part progressive rock with a layer of psychedelia. Take the trip tonight on Echoes from PRX.

Tuesday, March 31, 2026 – Echoes Program 2613B

On the next Echoes, music by Robert Schroeder. He’s one of the last musicians to release in the classic sequencer 1970s. He has an album that expands that sound called Observer. John Diliberto observes that and more on Echoes from PRX.
