New Music from Vin Downes & Tom Eaton
Keyboardist Tom Eaton and guitarist Vin Downes are veterans of work with Will Ackerman. Eaton is the utility player with FLOW and has numerous solo albums and a recent album of Dream pop in the duo Platform8. Vin Downes is a support musician in FLOW and has several solo releases. Together Eaton and Downes are two thirds of their ambient, improvising trio with trumpeter Jeff Oster. They have an album of ambient duets called Until the Light Was Gone. It seems like a follow-up to Eaton’s album with guitarist Ryan Judd, How the Light Get In. It shines on the next Echoes with John Diliberto from PRX.
