Echoes May CD of the Month: Counting Sunsets by SUSS
We’ve been following the ambient country band SUSS from their beginning in 2016. The trio includes guitarist Pat Irwin, who was a member of the B-52s and The Raybeats and has scored several movie and TV scores including, Nurse Jackie, the Dexter sequels and prequels, and on a different note, SpongeBob SquarePants. Guitarist Bob Holmes was a member of Rubber Rodeo. Pedal steel guitarist Jonathan Gregg doesn’t have a great CV, but it’s his pedal steel that weaves the band together. Their new album is Counting Sunsets and it’s the Echoes CD of the Month for May. But Suss goes into deep ambient terrain. Join us when we look west to Counting Sunsets by SUSS on Echoes from PRX.
