Take film director David Lynch and his Twin Peaks series, a passion for Pink Floyd, influences of shoegaze, post-rock and ambient. Add that into to the spacious guitar stylings of Martin Kennedy, and you have the sound of All India Radio on their newest release, The Unified Field. It is Echoes December CD of the Month. We’ll explore this immersive album that’s partly centered on the Unified Field Theory where everything, everywhere is all linked together. Add in a cover image taken from a spoken word record of Frank Herbert reading from his novel, Dune, and you have the lysergic trip of All India Radio’s The Unified Field.
