Hammock – Ambient Guitar Live on Echoes 2008

Hammock: The 27th Icons Live on Echoes 2008

Hammock Live on Echoes

Hammock visited the Echoes studio in 2008, just after the release of their album Maybe They Will Sing for us Tomorrow. Guitarists Marc Byrd and Andrew Thompson brought six guitars, an array of vintage tube amplifiers, and a vast collection of effects pedals.  Joining them was cellist Matt Slocum, who also played  on the album.  Through building real-time guitar loops, and Andrew Thompson occasionally adding a layer with a keyboard, Hammock were able to replicate the sound of their album, all live in the studio.
