Before synthesizers and computers in pop music there was Silver Apples, a duo that that used surplus electronics and tribal drums to create a psychedelic electronic pop in 1968.  Moby cites them as the first electronic pop group.  Hear the story behind Silver Apples when we talk to founder Simeon Cox on Echoes.
