Christmas Music Tops the Tree of the Echoes Top 25 for December
December is always a strange time for the Echoes Top 25. Seasonal programming and Best of Year shows skew the playlists towards Christmas sounds and older materiel. But new music does get played nevertheless. Heading up our 
December list, it’s no surprise to find Jeff Johnson, Brian Dunning & Wendy Goodwin’s Under the Wonder Sky, December’s CD of the Month. But following right behind their Christmas reverie is a batch of heady electronic albums including Mark Preston’s November CD of the Month, Nature & Design. Brian Eno’s Small Craft on a Milk Sea clocked in at #5 and Erik Wollo’s Gateway, our June CD of the Month, made a return visit to the Top 10. New additions in December included the ambience of Baumbach’s Empty Chair, a return to form by Bluetech/Evan Bartholomew/Evan Marc, recording in a duo as Invisible Allies and a retro-space album from Star’s End DJ, Chuck Van Zyl with MemorySpace.
