On a Slow Flow Echoes, ambient chamber music by pianist Lena Natalia from Lonely Satellite. We’ll also hear new electronic music out of Germany by Thomas Lemmer and Christoph Sebastien Pabst.
New music by Indarra, an entrancing band with a supernatural Basque name centered on the declamatory vocals of Sue Hutton. We’ll also hear the latest by the chant trio White Sun on Echoes.
Ed Harris was raised on heavy metal but went ambient. As Edamame he uses field recordings made on his phone, sampling birds and outside chatter and turning it into percussion and melody.
On the next Echoes, a legend of ambient and new age music when Laraaji comes in to play live. Laraaji’s 1980 album, Day of Radiance was the 3rd album in Brian Eno’s Ambient series.
The Echoes Top 25 for October 2018 features David Arkenstone’s CD of the Month “Colors of the Ambient Sky” at the top, followed by Dead Can Dance, William Fitzsimmons and Talitha Rise.
Music from singer Neko Case who recently released a harder edged album called “Hell-On.” We’ll also hear music by Warren Harrison, the electronic half of the duo, Hungry Lucy.
On the next Echoes, a musician who works as ELEON. He’s creating a very melodic electronic music and is helped out by guitarist David Helpling. We’ll hear music off his album.
Coming up on echoes, pianist Chad Lawson goes purely ambient. Lawson has released some great ambient chamber albums over the last few years with interpretations of Chopin and others.
