Iconic German electronic band Kraftwerk haven’t released new music in decades, so they’ve turned their work over to remixers for a double CD set just called Remixes.
New music by Roger Eno. The brother of Brian has a new album of solo piano & ambient chamber works called The Turning Year. We’ll also hear from Lost in Translation, one of his earlier works.
The May CD of the Month is Imaginary Trains by Michael Whalen. Whalen pulls in all his synthesizers to create a vision for the future with landmarks in the past of space music and the new age.
Flutist Sherry Finzer takes us inside the tank. It’s a 70 foot tall water tank with its own special echo. Sherry talks about playing inside it and some of her other musical projects.
David Helpling takes us inside his new double CD that’s just titled IN. The title is simple but the music is an expanse of dynamic ambient orchestrations for guitar and synthesizers.
Tangerine Dream’s new album is called Raum, which means space. They’ve been exploring it for over five decades. This album is based on compositions left by the late founding member, Edgar Froese.

Music from the wilds of Siberia when we hear the latest single by Otyken called “Storm”. We’ll also hear a dream pop artist with a name that’s out of season, I Am Snow Angel.
The Smile is Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood from Radiohead, producer Nigel Godrich, and Sons of Kemet drummer Tom Skinner. We’ll hear from their debut, A Light for Attracting Attention.
