An Echoes Autumnal Equinox

Summer’s over and Fall has officially arrived in an Echoes Autumnal Equinox Soundscape. Every Autumn about this time, my family would take me my brother and sister and pile into the family car and drive up through New Hampshire from Massachusetts to see the fall foliage. Although the drive could be a drag, the foliage wasn’t. Today I’ve got the sound of that foliage, but I’ve also got that pensive feel of Autumn, suspended between seasons, suspended between night and day in equal parts. It’s a feel you can hear from George Winston from a definitive Fall album, Autumn, Will Ackerman from his new album, Home, and Max Richter recomposing Vivaldi. I paint sound in autumnal colors with some of the classics on an Echoes Autumnal Equinox Soundscape from PRX
