Quiet Resonance, Sheherazaad,Beth Orton and Jack Wylie on the Soundscape of Echoes.
Pastor Tony Pounders has a new with a Quiet Resonance album featuring his twang inflected ambient guitar orchestrations called Flying Against the Wind. We’ll hear that and Sheherazaad from her latest album of eastern modalities, Khudgarzi, Beth Orton from her release, The Ground Above and a record by Jack Wylie. He was the saxophone player in Portico Quartet and he has a solo album called Eternal Spring. It is a beautiful combination of minimalism, ambient chamber music and subtle improvisation. It’s on the next Echoes with John Diliberto from PRX.
