Music from Lunar Noon & Robot Koch
We’ll hear music by Lunar Noon, a choral dream pop project of Michelle Zheng. Her debut album is Symbolic Creature. I’ve also got music from Robot Koch‘s Sand And Foam project remixed. We’ll hear from a project called Kan Wakan. It’s kind of a group but really headed up by Gueorgui Linev who was born in Bulgaria but works in LA and London. As Kan Wakan, he’s got a trip-hop, downtempo psychedelic sound and uses great singers like Jessica Childress. A lot of music these days is looking back to 1970s German rock and space music for influences, so it’s always nice when you see the originators still creating great sounds. Guitarist Michael Rother was a co-founder of the groups Neu! and Harmonia and has a string of incredible solo albums including his 2022 release, As Long as the Light with Vittoria Maccabruni. Whew!
