30 Years of Echoes Ends on WSHU.
This past Sunday was the last of Echoes on WSHU.
Ironically, if they played the right shows, you heard The Best Albums of 2025, So Far on Echoes, our mid-year list. What better way to go out than with the best.
But we don’t want to go out. Echoes has been on WSHU for most of our existence, 30 out of 35 years. And now, they have dropped the show, following NPR stations’ trend toward the most traditional programming, in this case more classical music.
Echoes isn’t traditional, but I know it’s part of your Sunday Night tradition.

I’m not pleased that Echoes, and apparently the next two Sunday programs will not be aired on WSHU. I’ve had my speaker set to play from 6:00 ’till midnight Sundays for years. Very, very disappointing.
