World Piano Day
It’s World Piano Day which takes place on the 88th day of the year. It was created by German keyboardist Nils Frahm to celebrate music created on 88 keys. But it can also be created with objects embedded in strings, electronics manipulating strings and sometimes, a piano is just a piano. The creator of the piano, Bartolomeo Cristofori, might not recognize the 21st century sound of the instrument he created around 1700. Join John Diliberto World Piano Day on Echoes from PRX.
