Trevor Horn's Re-imagined 80s
In the 1980s, you could not avoid the music of producer Trevor Horn. He presaged the MTV era with “Video Killed the Radio Star” by his group, The Buggles, then put Yes back on the map with “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” and the album, 90125. He. supercharged the New Wave producing Frankie Goes to Hollywood, ABC, Malcolm McLaren and Grace Jones. Then he helped birth the sample-happy electronic project, The Art of Noise. Now he’s revisiting his youth with Echoes-Ancient and Modern..He takes tunes from the 1980s, some of which he produced, and re-imagines them with new musicians including King Crimson’s Robert Fripp and singer Toyah.
