Guitarist Will Ackerman, founder of Windham Hill Records, horn player Jeff Oster, and multi-instrumentalist Tom Eaton, have gotten together on an album that might remind you of the halcyon days of Windham Hill Records.  It’s called Brothers and the cover even has the signature look of Windham Hill. We talk to the three musicians about new age nostalgia.

We also remember Joanne Shenandoah. I once dubbed her the Native American Enya. A member of the wolf clan of the Oneida tribe of the Iroquois, she released a series of Native fusion albums including Peace Maker and Covenant that were heavily played on Echoes at the turn of the century. She left the planet on November 22 at 64. We’ll hear some of her music.
