Jónsi's Exhale Video
Jónsi, the spectral singer of Iceland’s Sigur Ros, has a released a new single, “Exhale” that seems right for these times. It’s a slow build of hymnal beauty until it reaches the climax when it breaks out into a joyful march. The video features a muscular male dancer who is sheathed in what looks like green garbage bag plastic. As he emerges in birth from this shuddering womb, the plastic becomes streamers and capes that he twirls through in a slow motion spiral that never changes, even when the song hits its uplifting groove.
