New Music by Hiroki Okano and Kauf
It’s new music by Hiroki Okano on the next Echoes. The Japanese musician has been carving out a personalized music since his 1991 debut album. He’s released dozens of albums, from Techno to trance, ambient to new age music, usually creating a unique synthesis of all that. He’s worked with Mexican flutist Guillermo Martinez, English New age artist Nigel Shaw, and Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai. He has a pair of new albums out on Kitaro’s Domo Records. We’ll hear from one of them, Water Goddess. We’ll also get new music by Kauf. That’s Ronald Kaufman, know for remixing music by Poliça and Moon. Now he has his own album of soulful dreampop called Regrowth.
