Ozric Tentacles is a band fueled by 60s psychedelia, initialized by 70s space rock and hyper-charged by 1980s rave culture. They’ve always been something of a hippie band, even though their music points to some futuristic dystopic fantasy. They’re a fixture at music festivals throughout Europe and have released over 30 albums since their inception in 1984. The band is headed up by guitarist Ed Wynne, a musical descendent of space music guitarist Steve Hillage, who grew up psychedelic next door to musicians like Donovan. Ozric has just released a wonderful new album, Technicians of the Sacred that finds themselves taking more journey’s to the center of your mind. They play live on Echoes.
