Nels Cline in Echoes Podcast

Wilco guitarist Nels Cline in the Echoes Podcast.

Nels ClineNels Cline is best known as the guitarist with Wilco, but long before he joined that band he had a burgeoning solo career as a an outside jazz guitarist. He still maintains that path with groundbreaking albums with his group the Nels Cline Singers and experimental work that pushes the boundaries of electric guitar. In between sets at the Big Ears Festival where he rewired the audience’s heads with fractured guitar synapses, he reflects on a career that embraces the contemplative and the chaotic and complains about the street musician outside his window. I would too. Hear the Nels Cline interview below or download the podcast from iTunes.

    • There are a couple of different RSS feeds of the Echoes podcast. The original feed, with over 300 interviews in mp3 format is here:

We’re experimenting with a new feed, in a more efficient AAC format, and this one has all of the newest interviews, but doesn’t go back all the way (yet…) but you can check that one out here:

You can add these feeds to any RSS reader, and you should get the same functionality as subscribing in iTunes.

If you don’t need the automatic updating properties of an RSS feed, and just want to browse the interviews, you can just go to this web page:

      Hope that helps!

  1. Would love to be able to play this without having to install quicktime…. Looking forward to listening though.
