We welcome the return of Lanterna after nine years away.  Lanterna is helmed by guitarist Henry Frayne, formerly of Area and The Moon Seven Times.  As Lanterna, he makes a dreamy  yet propulsive ambient Americana based around his delay and reverb-drenched guitar lines ringing across an endless plain.   It’s an album of deep moods and driving themes from one of the most distinctively American guitarists around.  Lanterna’s Backyards was an easy choice for the March CD of the Month.

  1. Great set of music tonight. Echoes is my Sunday night music. Has been for years. Have you ever played music from Lights Out Asia? Terrific band from Milwaukee, WS. Perhaps you can feature some of their stuff one day on the program

    • Thanks. I agree. We’ve played Lights out Asia many times and we really love their music. We interviewed them on the show several years ago. You can catch that in the Echoes Podcast on iTunes.
