Living Room Concert: Yoed Nir
Yoed Nir was trained as a classical cellist in Israel, but then began playing with rock artists like Regina Spektor and Rufus Wainwright. On his solo albums, he forges an ambient chamber music of looping, multi-tracked and electronically processed cello to create his own 21st century orchestra. We’ll hear him play music from his album, The Next Dream, live on Echoes.

You’re right. I was a little off in my timing. Apparently it was Gilmour’s first lead vocal with the band. Ironically, Syd Barrett is on the 45 cover sleeve photo.
