On the next Echoes, a new generation of space musicians when we talk to Ascendant. They’re an electronic duo out of California who have been releasing albums of melodic electronics.
The French duo called Air is both retro and “moderne,” chilled pop and ambient lounge. They created a splash in 1998 with their album, Moon Safari In 2004 they came to Echoes to play music from that album and The Virgin Suicides soundtrack.
In Echoes Top 25 for June, Aukai’s debut recording leads the way. It was also the Echoes CD of the Month. He’s followed by SHEL – Just Crazy Enough, Emmy the Great – Second Love, and Haroula Rose’s Here the Blue River. See the complete list.
