Harmonica isn’t the sound you usually hear in ambient music, but that’s the chosen instrument of Art Patience, a musician from Arizona. He started out, and still plays blues and R&B harmonica licks, but on his recent albums, like The Recognition, he casts his harmonica out on desert southwest Echoes and ambient spaces.
Sherry Finzer is a classical flute player who has discovered another path, creating ambient chamber music with electronic orchestration and flute choirs.
