Guitarist Ralph Towner & Trumpeter Paolo Fresu Live in 2010 on Echoes.
Ralph Towner is best known as the guitarist of the band Oregon, and is a legend among acoustic players, with many solo albums on the ECM label. He’s joined here by Italian trumpeter Paolo Fresu. Together these musicians craft a meticulously serene space of intuitive improvisation. We met up with them at the ballroom of the Italian Academy at Columbia University, where they performed a private concert, just for Echoes.
