"Rosetta" new album by Vangelis
It’s been a while since Vangelis released a new non-soundtrack album, all the way back to 2001 and Mythodea. But a new album is coming. It’s called Rosetta and has not yet been officially announced but it is showing up in several online stores including Amazon where it is scheduled to be released on September 23, 2016 under Decca. There is no track list available yet but it appears to be inspired by the ESA (European Space Agency) probe with the same name. Judging from the three videos released thus far, it sounds like classic, 80’s era Vangelis tending toward the orchestral side more than the sequencer side.
