The Celtic musings of Loreena McKennitt.
Internationally acclaimed artist Loreena McKennitt comes to Echoes with her trio to perform live. Loreena McKennitt first gained recognition for playing and singing Celtic music with her harp and pure soprano voice on albums like Parallel Dreams. With The Visit, she expanded her sound to embrace eastern sonorities and with a trilogy of brilliant albums, The Mask & The Mirror, The Book of Secrets and An Ancient Muse, she created a crossroads of Middle Eastern and Celtic music. Over the last few years, McKennitt has returned to her Celtic roots with albums like The Wind That Shakes the Barley and to a more intimate performance ensemble with herself, longtime guitarist Brian Hughes and cellist Caroline Lavelle. Loreena McKennitt plays live on Echoes.

Have followed Loreena since Elemental. Great show. Lon
Loreena brings me back to the early days of Echoes, the 90’s. Her enchanting music never failed to transport one into another world, or some time in the past. I sensed the mysterious times of the Celts and the feel of the Middle Ages. Her charm has not diminished and her music is timeless.
