The Big Ears Festival might be the most adventurous and civilized festival in the country. Taking place at several venues across Knoxville, Tennessee from March 27-30, it brings together artists on the cutting edges of music including Laurie Anderson, Nels Cline, Bill Frisell and A Winged Victory for the Sullen. We talk to Big Ears founder Ashley Capps, who also produces Bonnaroo and David Harrington from the Kronos Quartet, this year’s festival Artists In Residence at Big Ears.
