A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH THE CALIFORNIA GUITAR TRIO
Imagine three virtuoso guitarists playing as if they were one musician, but with 18 strings. That's the California Guitar Trio, three musicians who studied with King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp and played in his League of Crafty Guitarists, a 20 piece guitar orchestra, before embarking on their own path 13 years ago. Earlier this year, CGT played an Echoes Living Room concert and debuted several new pieces. Those tunes now appear on their latest album, WHITEWATER (Inside Out Records). In this reprise broadcast, the trio comes into the Echoes Living Room to play a pair of new songs, an old Echoes favorite and a startling rendition of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody."
