WENDY LUCK: INSIDE THE GREAT PYRAMID
Wendy Luck took her flute, and in the spirit of Paul Horn who
went before her, played it in the Kings Chamber of the great
Pyramid of Cheops. We traveled to the more modest spaces of
Wendy's Manhattan apartment where she relived her meeting with
Egyptian Spirits on her album, The Ancient Key.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH JOHN RENBOURN
John Renbourn is a legend in Celtic music and guitar picking
circles. He co-founded the English folk-fusion group, Pentangle,
and helped revitalize the English folk music scene in the 1960s.
John Renbourn is still at it with a recent album called
"Traveler's Prayer" (Shanachie). Renbourn pulls up a couch in
the Echoes Living Room to play some music and regale us with
tales.

BILLY MCLAUGHLIN'S OUT OF HAND JIVE
Billy McLaughlin is another post-Michael Hedges guitar picker
with more alternate playing techniques than the entire 49er
backfield. On his latest album, Out Of Hand (Narada) he adds a
rhythm section to his already dynamic guitar style. We untangle
the strings of Billy McLaughlin who talks about his technique and
his inventive new album.

STREET SONGS
You can see them on the streets of Toronto and Manhattan, Paris
and San Francisco. No, these aren't derelicts. They're street
musicians, artists who have gone around conventional venues to
present their music directly to unsuspecting listeners, selling
their self-produced CDs while playing with a hat at their feet.
We'll talk with artists who have found busking as the only avenue
for their art, including Aryeh Frankfurter, David Michael & Randy
Mead, Lisa Lynne and the patron saint of all modern street
performers, Loreena McKennitt.
