ALPHA WAVE MOVEMENT
Alpha Wave Movement is Greg Kyryluk, a synthesist who grew up
listening to Steve Roach and Brian Eno. He's been quietly
releasing albums as Alpha Wave Movement, albums which themselves
explore the quieter terrains of ambient music. He also has a
more energetic, rhythmic side, that's heard on his latest album
Concept of Motion (Groove). We explore the frequencies of Alpha
Wave Movement.

NICKY SKOPELITIS-HALLUCINATION TRANCES
Nicky Skopelitis is a guitar alchemist who makes his instrument
run through dozens of sonic transformations. As EKSTASIS (Greek
for ecstacy), he's creating a 21st century cyber-trance music,
merging Indian tablas, Turkish baglama, dark dub bass and
mysterious atmospheres into one of the most entrancing albums of
the year, Wake Up And Dream (CyberOctave). Nicky Skopelitis
talks about his trance hallucinations.

Wave Movement, Dom F. Scab, and more.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH DAVID MICHAEL AND RANDY MEAD
Sitting on a hill overlooking the ferry arriving into Port
Townsend, Washington, we sit in on a living room concert with
David Michael and Randy Mead. Mixing Celtic harp, Flutes and
pan-pipe, Michael and Mead weave the melodies off their latest
album, Courtship of the Moon (Purnima) in a live performance.

MARY JANE LAMOND-SPINNING WOOL AND MUSIC
In England, Scotland, Ireland and even Galicia, new generations
of musicians are rediscovering their Celtic roots. But instead
of becoming traditionalists, they're becoming synthesists,
creating modern hybrids with their ancient heritage. This effect
is also taking place on Cape Breton in Nova Scotia. It's a
stronghold of traditional Scottish culture where singer Mary Jane
Lamond has been unearthing traditional milling songs and other
tunes sung in the Scot's Gaelic dialect. On her album "SUAS E!,"
she weds these songs to modern rhythms and ambiences. Mary Jane
Lamond talks about spinning wool and music.
