A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH THE MEDIAEVAL BAEBES
The Mediaeval Baebes are 12 singers based in England who
specialize in vocal music from the Middle Ages. On their album,
Salva Nos (Virgin), they sing songs that are over 600 years old,
but with a decidedly modern, edgy attitude. We gathered The
Mediaeval Baebes in the living room for a concert of ancient
sounds.

Echoes takes it's own ambient and instrumental look at the
Grammies with music from the New Age Category nominees, including
Alex De Grassi, Will Ackerman, Kitaro and Clannad. We'll also
dip into the classical categories and a few surprises from the
rock realm. And John Diliberto will give his Grammy picks.

RICHARD LEO JOHNSON-ACOUSTIC AXE VICTIM
Richard Leo Johnson was born and raised in Arkansas and that's
where he picked up a uniquely aggressive approach to the acoustic
guitar that recalls Michael Hedges. Playing mostly 12 string, he
hammers, slams and plucks his guitar to create a mutated
orchestra of melodies that have hints of jazz, country, blues and
folk. We caught up with Richard just as his debut album,
"Fingertip Ship" (Metro Blue) was about to be released.
