TRACY SCOTT SILVERMAN'S VIOLIN MANIFESTO
Tracy Scott Silverman has appeared on countless Windham Hill
samplers, produced the lullaby collection "On a Starry Night,"
was a member of the Turtle Island String Quartet and has been
touring with Jim Brickman. On his solo debut, "Trip to the Sun"
(Windham Hill), he shows a wider range of music interests
including duets with minimalist pioneer Terry Riley, a cover of
Jimi Hendrix's "1983" and a penchant for multiple violin
overdubs. Tracy Scott Silverman talks about his string fever.

AN ECHOES LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH MARK HUNTON
Using Native American flutes, Mark Hunton evokes the images of
his travels to Himalaya on his CD, "Annapurna: The Towering Sky"
(Spotted Peccary). Back in San Diego he gathers together a group
of musicians including an Iranian singer intoning wordless vocals
and ambient guitarist David Helpling, to unfold his melodies.
