INTERVIEWS AND CONCERTS FOR THE WEEK
Monday 12/29
We hear music from Kevin Bartlett and he's one of those mutating guitarists who gets all kinds of sounds from his instrument. He's best known for his work with singer Happy Rhodes in the 1990s, but he's got an instrumental CD called "Glow in the Dark."

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH DAVID PRITCHARD
Three guitars in spirals
Since the early 1990s, composer/guitarist David Pritchard has been making a minimalist derived, melodically driven music based on multiple guitars playing interlocking, dizzying, maze-like compositions that draw you into their spinning cycles like a fractal web. It's entrancing to hear, difficult to play. We'll listen to David Pritchard with an acoustic guitar trio doing it live when they step into the Echoes living room.
