Immerse yourself in a different kind of Christmas soundscape with Sonic Seasonings 2007, with Celtic music from Ireland, ambient music from Norway, harp guitar from Virginia and finger-style guitar from New England
We'll hear Ireland's Celtic diva, Moya Brennan from the band Clannad in an intimate performance for voice and Celtic harp. Erik Wollo brings us ambient soundscapes from the frozen winter of Norway. Stephen Bennett revamps seasonal songs across his 6 string and harp guitar. Peter Janson plays original and familiar seasonal sounds on guitar while snow falls outside his New England home. Four remarkable and intimate performances wrapped and tied by Echoes host John Diliberto. The perfect present for Christmas.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH DEMANIA
Finger-popping world fusion live
DeMania is an acronym for the three musicians in the band, finger style virtuoso Alex De Grassi, electric bass demon Michael Manring and tabla player Chris Garcia. On their own, each musician can create an ensemble of sound. Together, they play a world fusion that harkens back to John McLaughlin's Shakti. DeMania come into the Echoes Living Room to play live.

AN INTERVIEW WITH PHARAOH’S DAUGHTER
Hasidic Rebellion and Hebraic fusions
Pharaoh's Daughter is an ambitious project headed up by singer and oud player Basya Schecter. She left her strict Hasidic upbringing only to return to Jewish traditions after forbidden detours into Led Zeppelin. With Pharoah's Daughter, she creates a rich world fusion drawing from across the Middle Eastern diaspora and contemporary western music. Basya and her band talk about their cosmic kabala.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH ULRICH SCHNAUSS
Knob twisting chill out music live
Ulrich Schnauss is one of the signature names of chill out music.
His album, A Strangely Isolated Place codified a psychedelic brand of electronica, informed by bands like The Cocteau Twins and My Bloody Valentine. Ulrich comes into the Echoes Living Room and provides new renditions of songs from the hallucinogenic free fall of his third album, Goodbye.
