RASA PLAY LIVE IN A LIVING ROOM CONCERT
Vedic bhajans transformed into a serene global fusion
Rasa is multi-instrumentalist Hans Christian and singer Kim Waters. Christian weaves Indian percussion, cello, nyckleharpes and sarangis around Waters' silky voice, which soothes like a cosmic whisper. In the Echoes Living Room, they bring ancient Indian Bhajans, sacred songs and hymns, to modern life.

AN INTERVIEW WITH OTTMAR LIEBERT: A ZEN FLAMENCO CHRISTMAS
The season goes southwestern
Ottmar Liebert, the creator of Nouveau Flamenco guitar is a disciple of Zen Buddhism and lives in Sante Fe, but on his CD called Winter Rose, the guitarist evokes a trancy and hypnotic seasonal meditation. Mixing a couple of Christmas carols, some classical works by Fauré and Tchaikovsky and a collection of originals, Liebert conjures up a Christmas that is mystical and atmospheric. Ottmar Liebert talks about his seasonal designs.

Clannad singer Celtic Carols to the Echoes Living Room
Moya Brennan has been the siren of Celtic music for more than three decades. She was the singer with the Irish band Clannad, and now has a string of solo albums under her belt. She recently put out An Irish Christmas and we got her in the Echoes Living Room to sing some of this music live. With one of the purists voices in music and Celtic harp, Moya Brennan brings a Celtic Christmas to Echoes. This is a sneak preview of next years Sonic Seasonings.

OTTMAR LIEBERT
Nouveau Flamenco pioneer Ottmar Liebert brings his Luna Negra ensemble in, accompanied by a string quartet for a set of original music and inventive versions of carols found on his CD, Winter Rose.
THE CALIFORNIA GUITAR TRIO
The California Guitar Trio have been frequent guests on NPR programs. Former students of Robert Fripp, they play their three guitars as if they were a single musician with multiple arms. They perform a set of original and familiar carols that highlight their pristine precision.
AL PETTEWAY AND AMY WHITE
Al Petteway and Amy White have just released a seasonal CD called Winter Tidings. With a delicate mix of guitars, mandolins and dulcimers, they play tunes that evoke the winter landscape of their North Carolina home.
ACOUSTIC EIDOLON
Acoustic Eidolon is the duo of cellist Hannah Alkire and guitarist Joe Scott, formerly of The New Christy Minstrels and Wind Machine. They create an evocative chamber music sound of winter whistling through the mountains of their home in Boulder, Colorado.
