Flamenco guitar in a global world
Ever since his debut in 1996, Jesse Cook has assumed the popular mantel in Nouveau Flamenco music. He mixes his rhumba flamenco guitar style with world music percussion and searing violin lines to make a music that can be exuberant or poignantly melancholic. He does both when he comes into the Echoes living room with his quartet, playing music off his latest album, Frontiers.

Rudy Perrone is a guitarist from Long Island who has played progressive rock with Cathedral and explored solo music as an acoustic player. On his CD, The Language of Spirits, he unfolds delicate solo pieces and elaborately arranged ensemble works. We get the solo side in this intimate performance from a guitarist as influenced by Steve Hackett and Will Ackerman.
