A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH JESSE COOK
Flamenco guitar in a global world
Ever since his debut in 1996, Jesse Cook has assumed the popular mantel in Nouveau Flamenco music. He mixes his rhumba flamenco guitar style with world music percussion and searing violin lines to make a music that can be exuberant or poignantly melancholic. He does both when he comes into the Echoes living room with his quartet, playing music off his latest album, Frontiers.

Ronn McFarlane plays impeccable early music with the Baltimore Consort, but when he wasn't playing music from Renaissance masters like Anonymous, he was writing his own music which uses contemporary guitar playing techniques and a melodic sensibility that’s more cinematic than baroque. Ronn McFarlane talks about his new music for lute on his CD Indigo Road.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH RUDY PERRONE
Live ruminations from a post-Windham Hill finger-style player
Rudy Perrone is a guitarist from Long Island who has played progressive rock with Cathedral and explored solo music as an acoustic player. On his CD, The Language of Spirits, he unfolds delicate solo pieces and elaborately arranged ensemble works. We get the solo side in this intimate performance from a guitarist as influenced by Steve Hackett and Will Ackerman.
