Kenji Williams came to renown under the guise of ABA Structure, making a techno-dance music. But he started out as a violinist and when he brought that instrument back into his music he started hearing a different sound. Kenji Williams talks about mixing electronics, live violin and elaborate visuals to tap into a psychedelic spirit.

AN INTERVIEW WITH TOM ROTHROCK: POP PRODUCTIONS AND DOBROS OF DOOM
The producer of Beck and James Blunt goes ambient Americana

Remember that slide guitar on Beck's hit, "Loser?" That was producer Tom Rothrock who is also responsible for records by James Blunt and Elliott Smith. On his CD, Resonator, Rothrock picks up a dobro resonator guitar and unfurls a dark country blues in ambient hues. In his Los Angeles home, Rothrock tells his resonator tales and dusts off his dobro.

In our latest Secret Sources, synthesist Steve Roach puts on the headphones while we plug in an iPod to play him music that might have been part of his musical journey. From minimalists to space music, pop singers to didgeridoos, Roach identifies and talks about the music of his life and some of the people he's influenced.
