AN INTERVIEW WITH THE LUMINOUS WORLD ORCHESTRA: ASSEMBLING A VIRTUAL GLOBAL ORCHESTRA
TV film composer goes off the path
Stephen Chesne has made his living composing scores for middle-brow TV shows like "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," "The Hogan Family," "Kirk," "Life Happens," and "Perfect Strangers." None of that prepares you for the subtle, almost Arvo Part-like global sounds he creates under the guise of The Luminous World Orchestra. We visit Stephen Chesne in Los Angeles where he illuminates The Luminous World Orchestra.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH ANDY MCKEE
A YouTube phenom plays live
Andy McKee has been playing finger-style guitar and harp guitar for many years, but his career took off last year when a video of his became all the rage on YouTube. At this writing he's had 4,790,083 views (http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ddn4MGaS3N4). Not bad for a boy from the middle of Kansas. Andy comes to Echoes, with lots of ears but no video cameras present, to play his music live.

AN INTERVIEW WITH DINO SALUZZI & ANJA LECHNER: BANDONEON BEYOND TANGO
When Astor Piazzolla died in 1992, Dino Saluzzi quietly assumed the mantle of the world's leading bandoneon player. But it's not tango music as much as tango shadows, as Saluzzi plays an intuitive music with a wide array of collaborators. His latest album pairs him with the gifted German cellist, Anja Lechner from the Rosamunde Quartet. Together they talk about the melding of classical sensibilities, tango touchstones and intuitive improvisation that takes place on their CD, Ojos Negros.
