AN INTERVIEW WITH JON DURANT: PROGRESSIVE ROCK AMBIENCES
A guitarist loops back to his progressive rock roots

It's hard to describe a guitarist like Jon Durant. He's been creating ambient soundscapes for over a decade, but he's always had an edge to his playing that comes from his love of progressive rock. On his new CD, he's joined by bassist Tony Levin from Peter Gabriel and King Crimson, and he covers a Peter Gabriel classic. In his basement studio south of Boston, Jon Durant talks about his looping odyssey.
