A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH CARYN LIN
Electric violinist plugs in and loops
Caryn Lin plays a space age violin with a rock guitarist’s set of effects pedals. Using her violin for percussion as well as melody, she creates an ambient chamber music soundscape, layering her instrument with shifting timbres. It sounds like a mutated string orchestra, but it's just Caryn Lin, playing everything in real time. We'll hear her do it live on Echoes.
