A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH DAVID DARLING
Avatar of ambient chamber music goes solo
On David Darling's albums, he creates lush cello choirs through layers of overdubs like those heard on his Echoes March CD of the Month, Prayer for Compassion. We capture David musically naked in his home studio with just his acoustic cello and voice when he plays live on Echoes.

Tuesday 04/28AN INTERVIEW WITH OZRIC TENTACLES
The Grateful Dead of space music takes us on a psychedelic trip
Ozric Tentacles grew out of 1980s rave culture in England, but they took their cues from the 70s psychedelic space music of Gong more than the thump of techno. Headed up by Ed Wynne, a classic guitar hero with a spacescape mind, they've released several albums and toured relentlessly since they formed at Stonehenge in 1984. They have a new CD called The Yum Yum Tree. Ed and bassist/synthesist Brandi Wynne take us on a trip through the world of Ozric Tentacles.

AN INTERVIEW WITH JON HASSELL
Fourth World pioneer still exploring
Jon Hassell’s latest album is called Last Night the Moon Came Dropping Its Clothes in the Street, a title taken from a 13th century poem by Rumi. Mixing laptops, layered compositions, and live sound processing, it often sounds like Miles Davis meeting Arvo Pärt, tuning in signals from space. We talk with Jon Hassell about Fourth World music in the 21st Century.
