A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH HAROLD BUDD
A live performance by Harold Budd is a rare event. This early
architect of ambience has explored a world of unrestrained melancholy
and music he wanted to be "devastatingly beautiful."
His PLATEAUX OF MIRROR album, recorded with Brian Eno, is a landmark
of ambient music. On his latest CD, THE ROOM (Atlantic), Budd
continues his ruminations. A musician usually heard in electronic
settings, we capture him in a purely acoustic performance, playing
with a touch that producer Daniel Lanois said was like "playing
feathers on the piano."

AN ECHOES VERNAL EQUINOX AND EARTH DAY CELEBRATION
Celebrate the coming of Spring with an Echoes soundscape of ambient
designs and acoustic textures drawn from nature. We'll hear crickets,
birds, wind and ocean drawn into a tapestry of music to celebrate
the world around us.

BALINESE MEDITATION
Jalan Jalan is a Japanese group that takes Balinese gamelan cycles
and instruments and places them in a serene, ambient landscape.
They've just released their second album, BALI DUA.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH BRUCE KAPHAN
Bruce Kaphan's debut album, SLIDER (Hearts of Space) is a definitive
album of ambient pedal steel guitar. In Bruce's home studio in
Fremont, California, he slides down the liquid melodies of his
album in this live performance.
