MARK O'CONNOR, YO-YO MA & EDGAR MEYER: WALTZING AGAIN
Take three string virtuosos from the classical and bluegrass
world and put them in a room together and fingers fly. That's
what happens on a new CD, APPALACHIAN JOURNEY (Sony Classical),
the follow-up to their highly acclaimed APPALACHIAN WALTZ
project from a few years ago. We talk with O'Connor, Ma and
Meyer about the intersection of bluegrass and classical worlds.

A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH ANDREAS VOLLENWEIDER
In a rare Echoes Living Room Concert before a live audience,
Andreas Vollenweider brings his electro-acoustic harp and
percussionist Walter Keiser in front of the Music Personnel
Conference in New Orleans this past February. Andreas shows off
his incredible virtuosity, playing music from his new Sony
Classical album, COSMOPOLY.

TIM STORY-SHADOW PLAY
Tim Story is a remarkable composer who has been charting a course
of ambient chamber music since the early 1980s. His music is as
haunting as that first moment awakening from a dream, and just as
elusive. His recordings include UNTITLED and GLASS GREEN on the
Windham Hill label and BEGUILED and THE PERFECT FLAW on Hearts of
Space. Tim talks about his deeply personal music that combines
electronic environments with intimate chamber ensembles.
