FEATURES FOR THE WEEK
A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH ADRIAN LEGG Adrian Legg is a guitarist's guitarist. As John Diliberto
wrote in the liner notes of Legg's new CD, INHERITANCE (Favored
Nations Acoustic), "Adrian Legg can bring you to tears with
the sweetest melancholy melody played out in a filigree of finger-picking
intricacy, leaving one gasping for air at the rarefied beauty
of it all. But he can just as easily pluck and twang in a virtuoso
display, bending notes in a drunkenly delirious slur of lines
that slip and slide like Jim Carrey at a taffy pull." Legg
does all that and more when he plugs into the Echoes Living Room
to play live.
A LIVING ROOM CONCERT WITH OTTMAR LIEBERT The pioneer of Nouveau Flamenco comes into the Echoes living
room, takes off his shoes, and plays live with his current incarnation
of Luna Negra. Hot on the heels of his first CD of all new music
in five years, LA SEMANA (SSR), Ottmar Liebert reveals in performance
why he's still the reigning master of the guitar- driven flamenco-hybrid
he created over a decade ago.
AN ECHOES SOUNDSCAPE FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY
Echoes paints a soundscape in green colors and Irish aires
when we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We'll hear music from Clannad,
Flook, Moya Brennan, Kila and more.
ECHOES AT THE MOVIES Echoes opens up the wide screen of your mind with a center
seat for some of the latest soundtracks including scores to Friday
Night Lights, In Good Company and Alexander. The films may not
get two thumbs way up, but the music does on Echoes at the Movies.
