PAT THOMI'S FUSION FAIRYTALES
Pat Thomi is one of those journeyman musicians who has played on
films, album sessions and toured and recorded with headliners
like Gino Vannelli and Jean-Luc Ponty. Last year he released an
atmospheric solo album called FAIRYTALES (Blue Blimp). We
venture to Pat Thomi's Los Angeles recording studio where he
pulls out an electric sitar and tells us about ambient fantasies.

JOANNE SHENANDOAH'S IROQUOIS LEGENDS
Joanne Shenandoah has been called The Native American Enya. She
sings in the tongues of the Iroquois Nation, setting her music to
haunting, ambient orchestrations from Tom Wasinger. On her
latest album, PEACEMAKER'S JOURNEY (SilverWave) she follows the
legend of the Skenanrahowi, who united the Iroquois tribes. We
talk with Shenandoah about her unique vocal style and non-
traditional take on Native American themes.

MYCHAEL DANNA & TIM CLEMENT-AMBIENT RETURNS
Mychael Danna is a big screen composer now with recent film
credits that include "Felicia's Journey" and "8MM". But in the
1980s, Danna and his partner Tim Clement were creating ambient
soundscapes at the front edge of the New Age movement. A new
collection of their work THE BEST OF DANNA & CLEMENT (Mirage)
captures this era with selections from their early albums. Danna
& Clement revisit their ambient era when they talk about their
early music on Echoes.
